Seema Darshan for the school students
The ministry of Human Resource Development `has come up with an initiative for school children named as Seema Darshan. This is an initiative where the school children will visit the borders of India and this will create an awareness about the role of the brave soldiers who fight for us. The students will also perform various cultural dance and music forms as a gratitude for the soldiers. This will be a complete cultural event and will showcase the diverse traditions and cultures of India. All the armed forces who are guarding us every time at the borders will be also delighted to see the young children performing in front of them. These activities will not only motivate the young children but also will bring an awareness amongst them. The soldiers will also be enthused to see the performances. These performances will be taking place on Republic Day.
This initiative is a combine effort of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Home affairs. The programmes will start from 22nd January till 26th January.
The Seema Darshan programme will also give an actual picture of the security that the jawans deliver at the border areas and this experience will stay with them forever. The youth of India can also connect more with the nation and this will help to grow nationalism and respect for India amongst them. The children will also be exposed to the border areas and can learn from them.
All the students of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti will be a part of this program. A team of selected 30 students is selected and they will be going to visit the Akhnoor and Attari Border of India. Moreover, the students will also visit the BSF base camp in Amritsar and the War Hero gallery along with the Army base in Akhnoor.
The students visiting the borders will be of 11th standard. There are 16 students from Kendriya Vidyalaya who would be visiting Akhnoor Border area which will have 8 boys and 8 girls. Another group of young 14 students from Navodaya Vidyalayas consisting of 7 boys and 7 girls will also accompany them for Akhnoor. For Attari border, another group of enthusiastic 16 students from Kendriya Vidyalayas and 14 students from Navodaya Vidyalayas will be visiting the border. These students are chosen from all the KV and NVs across all the states of India like Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai.
According to Smriti Irani, this program will create a feeling of nationalism amongst our youth and also the children can pay gratitude to our soldiers who safeguard us at the borders and give invaluable services.
Even during the wartime many artists are motivated to visit the borders to boost the motivational level of soldiers. Art has no boundaries and it is the best way to spread peace, according to the Union minister. She has requested the National Bal Bhawan to select the best performers from all the states to visit the jawans.
Kala Utsav would also be organized In December and also they would showcase their arts works. Moreover, an award of 5 lakhs will be rewarded to the winning school, she added. These initiatives are surely a reforming act for our youth.
