State Bank of India (SBI) Bank PO 2015 Recruitment Notification
Most of Bank PO aspirants have been waiting for this moment of notice. Finally, State Bank of India (SBI), the biggest public sector bank in India has published out its notification for Recruitment of Bank PO for 2015.
Eligible and desirous candidates can apply for the position between 13th April 2015 and 02nd May 2015. Following are the elaborated details of the recruitment notice:
Name of the Position: Probationary Officer
Total number of vacancies: 2,000
Start date of online application: 13th April 2015
Last date of submitting online application: 02nd May 2015

Tentative date of Preliminary Examination: Anytime during June 2015
Application Fee for ST/SC/PWD Candidates: Rs 100 only
Application Fee for General and Other Candidates: Rs 600, including intimation charges
SBI PO 2015 Recruitment Education Qualification as of 01st September 2015
Candidates applying for this post should be at least a graduate in any discipline from a university of recognition or should have a degree from any other equivalent university/institution recognized by the Government of India.
Applicants who are pursuing their final semester or final year of their graduation are also eligible to apply, subject to the fact that they would have to furnish sufficient proof of completion of their course on or before 01st September 2015.
SBI PO 2015 Recruitment Min and Max Age Limits as on 01st April 2015
The maximum and minimum age limit for the position is 21 years and 30 years, respectively, as on 01st April 2015. This implies that applicants who are born between 02nd April 1985 and 01st April 1994 (including both days) are eligible to apply for the post.
Age relaxations as per normal standards are application for candidates applying from ST/SC/OBC/EXS/PWD categories.
SBI PO 2015 Recruitment Selection Procedure
The entire examination procedure would be spread across three phases of selection, i.e.
- Phase I: Prelimanary Examination
- Phase II: Main Examination
- Phase III: Group Discussion
SBI PO 2015 Recruitment Phase I: Preliminary Examination
This phase of examination would test candidates on objective question of a total of 100 marks and the exam would be conducted online. The maximum permissible time duration for this exam would be 60 minutes. It would comprise of three main sections:
There would be a prescribed passing mark for each section mentioned above. Candidates need to pass a minimum marks in all the three sections of testing.
A fixed number of candidates would be shortlisted from the first phase of examination and would move on to appear for the second phase of test.
SBI PO 2015 Recruitment Phase II: Main Examination
This section of examination would comprise of both objective as well as descriptive questions for 200 marks and 50 marks, respectively. Candidates would be asked to first go through the Objective Type Questions and then appear for the Descriptive part of the test.
The objective part of SBI PO 2015 would be based on four parameters:
Candidates have to pass in each of the parameters by securing a minimum marks, as decided by the selection board.
The Descriptive Test would be of 60 minutes and a total of 50 marks would be allotted to this section. Candidates would be required to answer the question by typing on the computer and will have to secure a minimum passing mark.
SBI PO 2015 Recruitment Phase III
Group Discussion (of 20 marks) and Personal Interview (30 marks)
This would be the third and last stage of examination. Those candidates who would qualify the main examination would apply for a Group Discussion (comprising of 20 marks) and a Personal Interview (comprising of 30 marks).
Candidates, during this phase of examination would be judged on their personality, communication skills, leadership and a number of other managerial traits, as decided by the selection board of the bank.
