Mukhaya Mantri Jan Awaas Yojana Rajasthan
Vasundhara Raje, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan has announced the introduction of a scheme detailing online registration for various housing schemes under the Jaipur Development Authority. Popularly known as the Mukhya Mantri Jan Awaas Yojana, this policy provides for a Web-based registration process for applications regarding housing plans, to be made on a need-based priority basis through a mobile application available on both iOS and Android platforms, named Action Jodhpur. Mrs. Raje, while announcing the induction of such a scheme, also formally inaugurated the official launch of this mobile application.
- Initiation of the Scheme
People who are willing to apply for the housing schemes can register their interest for being beneficiaries of the Chief Minister’s Public Housing Scheme by just clicking an option on the Action Jodhpur mobile application. Several areas of Jodhpur have been designated as the first ones under the trial phase of the Scheme. These areas like LordiPanditji, Choakha, Tanavda and Badli have been earmarked as the starting areas for the implementation of this scheme. Apart from information about the areas in which the scheme is being enacted, the mobile app in fact also makes various provisions for other information regarding the Schemes, regarding the eligibility criteria required by people to be beneficiaries under the Scheme, the maximum benefits that can be availed per person per family under the Scheme, the terms and conditions of availing benefits under the Scheme and under what conditions can the offer of benefits be nullified.
- The novelty of a mobile App: Registrations made hassle-free
Currently, the mobile application has been made applicable on both Android as well as iOS platforms. People owning Android devices can download the said application by accessing Google Play Store while people handling iOS devices can use the Apple Store to access information under the MukhyaMantri Jan Awaas Yojana. The next step is to register the handset mobile number on the application, before going on to fill the personal credentials column. It has been advised by the Raje government that it is recommended to link your Aadhar card number to the online profile on the mobile app, so that coordinated benefits can be assured and undertaken. The next step as notified by the authorities handling the management of this application, is to link an online payment option to the auspices of the application. Prospective beneficiaries can add credit cards, debit cards, net banking options as well as mobile payment gateways like SBI Buddy, PayTM etc. Apart from that, the app also has a system of notifying the prospective beneficiaries about modes of online payments, lotteries as an option of payment and other such allotments and benefits under the Scheme. This has been ensured so that to make the process of registering, paying and availing the benefits under the scheme a much easier experience for the prospective beneficiaries of this scheme. For people without access to the Internet, Web or mobile data services, the scheme also has a unique solution. Such people can get offline access to the information stored in the App regarding their application by means of a simple SMS. By sending an inquiry to a particular pre-designated phone number, a person can obtain all sorts of information about the Scheme and his prospective application by getting an SMS reply or a call-back. This process has essentially enabled the scheme and the resulting application to be a one-stop destination process for all those aspiring to avail housing benefits from the Government. It has replaced the earlier process of massive amounts of red tape as applications earlier had to go through official checks and paperwork before being cleared after months and months of to-and forth deliberations. The launch of this mobile application has eased the entire process and prospective applicants can know the status of their application within minutes by just accessing the respective webpages on the application.
