Maggi Controversy should Brand Ambassador be punished
Maggi is in news for quite some time now. We all have been eating magi for more than 20 years without having any significant problems. But as soon the news flashed that Maggi has excess of Lead and MSG that may be injurious to health then most of my friends including me have stopped eating Maggi.
I had asked my local grocery store and he said the now nobody is taking Maggi from him and he has previous stocks with him. News channels have been covering this issue nonstop. Maggi is one of the most popular instant food products available in India. There are many people like my chaiwala near my office who is completely dependent on the sale of Maggi. This is the reason most of the state government does not have the courage to ban it straight away.
Today Nestle Company has announced that they will roll back their entire Maggi Stock from entire India. They still do not agree that there is anything wrong in Maggi and it is harmful in any way. The decision to roll back Maggi has come up to cater the anti sentiments among its user base. Company said they will hit hard after coming clean.
There has also been case filed against the Brand Ambassador of Maggi in the likes of Amitabh Bacchan , Preity Zinta and Madhuri Dixit. Preity had endorsed Maggi 12 years back. This has raised a lot of eyes brose in India media. Even UK has started investigating Maggi that is sold in Indian grocery stores in their country.
Stars and normal people have been debating the case filled to the brand ambassador of Maggi in this fiasco. While bollywood have come forward to support their members while the media is a bit confused on the same.
In my opinion Starts like Amitabh Bacchan have a lot of influence in Indian family and they have to be responsible endorsing a wrong product. Now stars should think beyond just money and endorse genuine product.
I would like my users to comment on this issue.
