Delhi has always been the political hub of India for a long long time. All the major political activities take place in Delhi. Delhi is also the capital of India. Delhi also has the parliament of India. All the major news channel have their head office in Delhi.
This has been the reason that all the major political, national and movements have been centered in Delhi. In my resent times Anna Movement on Jan Lok Pal have stirred the entire nation. This movement got a great response since it was held in Delhi.
AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) is born out of this movement. Arvind Kejriwal is the chef of this party. He has been a social activist prior to forming this party. BJP has won a landslide victory in recent Lok Shabha Elections. BJP was won each assembly elections after their Lok Sabha Success. But Delhi could be a spoiler.
The opinion polls are predicting AAP to give a setback to BJP in Delhi. Please read this article on Opinions Polls for Delhi Assembly Elections 2015. BJP has fielded Kiran Bedi as their CM candidate for Delhi assembly elections. Kiran Bedi and Arvind Kejriwal have been the two most prominent figures in Anna Movement. Please read this article on my opinion on Kiran Bedi Vs Arvind Kejriwal.
Congress in the third party in this election and Ajay Makan is the face of the party. But as per the opinion poll congress would be a distinct third this time. So the Next CM of delhi would be either AAP’s Arvind Kejriwal or BJP’s Kiran Bedi.
Arvind Kejriwal was the previous CM of Delhi who remained in office for just 49 days. He broke the record of Shushma Swaraj as the least number of days serving as Delhi CM. Sushma Swaraj was the CM of Delhi for just 52 days.
