Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) SCHOOL ADMISSION SCHEDULE FOR 2016 – 17
Kendriya Vidyalaya or the KV School is a central government operated chain of schools in India with around 1000 schools in India and 3 schools outside India.
Since 1963, Kendriya Vidyalaya was functioning along with the approval from central board of secondary education. The main motive behind starting of KV school is for educating children of defense personnel along with the government employees especially for those who work in central government and often facing transfer orders.
Apart from offering quality education Kendriya Vidyalaya School gives big relief for parents during their transfer periods by allowing their students to shift from one branch to another within an academic year in any part of India and even to their abroad branches too, which is not commonly in practice at any other Indian educational institute.
Though KV schools are consider mainly for defense personnel children, they do allow other working personnel’s children for admission that ensures the quality education for all. The KV Schools are available in all possible cities and towns of India so that even if parents are transferred to the remotest areas of the country, their child or children are able to achieve proper education which they deserve.

The New Year has begun which means that the admissions for this year in KV Schools have also started. This year there have been some changes made in the admission process of this schools for the convenience of the school managements and also the parents who seek to admit their children to KV School.
Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) Online Admissions
This time parents need not go all the way to the KV Schools for collecting the forms and then filling and submitting it and then again go to the schools to check the list of the students selected. This process has been made simple by making the admission process available online. With this online process the parents can easily locate the KV School of their state and then check for admission details and vacancies and then accordingly apply. The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has decided on this step so that the admission process becomes completely transparent and the whole process is open to the parents of the candidates. The Board Members of the Sangathan feel that this online process will change the way people look at government school admissions and will give fair and just opportunity to all candidates applying. Parents may also easily check all the notifications and information regarding admissions and vacancies and do not need to run to the school to get all information.
But this doesn’t meant that the admission form and the whole process will take place only online. Admission forms, the selection list, etc. will all be available at each of the schools as well but the dates decided for the admission process will remain the same for online as well as direct school applicants. Many people are still not acquainted internet due to which the usual process of direct school admission will also be available and the process will remain the same.
Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) The online application process
Applying for admissions online is quite easy time saving. Parents can visit the schools website to get the application form link or just go to mkva01.onlineadmission.net/OLAKVS which is the website where you will get the online admission form. Parents can just visit this page and click on ‘apply online’ and they will be directed to the admission form which has to filled. Parents need to give all their professional and personal details of work and residence and also about the applying candidate’s past school and the marks obtained by him or her. Other such details should also be correctly filled and checked before submitting. Once all the details are properly filled, you can tab on the ‘submit’ option after which you will be provided with a log in id and a registration number using which you further check the admission status or vacancies. This registration number is a permanent registration number any can be used for any further queries.
Once all the forms are taken and the list of students who have got admissions is prepared, the list will be put up on the same site so that you can check your admission status. The list will subsequently will be put up in the respective KV Schools as well. The selection will be based on priority category system and lottery system. Single girl child quota will also be considered.

Registration for class XI will take place immediately after the declaration of the class X board results and will continue up to 20 days thereafter. And the list of candidates selected will be issued within 30 days after the board results are declared. The selection procedure here is based on the marks obtained in the board exams. All admission for all classes this year (2016-17) will close on 31/07/2016, until which a candidate can apply in case there is any vacancy in that respective class.
Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) Admission 2016-17 criteria:
For applying in KV Schools there are many criteria that on has to follow. KV schools strictly follow the admission guideline and all the information provided by parents are thoroughly checked before the student is selected. One may even apply through various quota. KV Schools provide 15% seat reservation for Scheduled Caste candidates, 3% for differently abled candidates and 25% reservation for candidates who belong to economically weaker sections of the society. Single girl child privilege is also give in KV Schools. Strict age criteria for admissions in Class I to class X is followed-

The age limit is relaxed up to two years for students who are differently challenged and for class XI and XII there is no age limit. Also for class II to VIII there is no admission test taken but for class XI candidates have to appear for and admission test. Class XI admissions are based on Class X board marks.
With all these eligibility criteria and keeping all documents in had one may apply in Kendriya Vidyalaya of their particular state or city and then follow it up online or by going to the respective KV Schools.
