Khata is nothing but an important document which indicates the linkage between the people and the civic authority in the city of Bangalore. Just like a bank account book is required to make interactions and transactions between a bank and a customer. Similarly, all major services like property tax, electricity registration, water supply, trade license, etc. are being dealt with the help of Khata document. It consists of details of property which includes the registered name of the owner, the accurate measurements of the property approved by the govt., the locality where the property is situated and the nature of use of property. These parameters decide the property taxes to be implied on that property by the civic body of Bangalore.
