This is a very good news for all Hindi bloggers and publishers, Google Adsense the best contextual add network has added Hindi as supported language for their network. Now Hindi Bloggers and Publishers can apply for Google Adsense and monetize their blogs.
Hindi used to be supported by Google Adsense in the past. But due to some unknown reason they discontinued it. India is emerging as the highest growing internet users thanks to the launches of many low price smart phones. Facebook and Whatsapp has become a house hold name in India these days.
Most of the users in India really need some good Hindi content but unfortunately internet world lacks it and the major reason according to me was the lack of monetization options available for hindi bloggers. Now since Google Adsense has started approving good Hindi sites for their contextual add network then I could see more and more bloggers would be focusing on Hindi.
Current BJP government of India led my Narendra Modi has a strong agenda to promote Hindi language. He had even meet Google officials in his maiden USA visit as PM this year. I have a strong belief that he would have pointed out this point in front of them.
In my 2 years of blogging experience I have seen many bloggers who were not comfortable in English language but still were maintaining an English blog just for the sake of earning money through Google Adsense. I just had a world with then and were ecstatic hearing this news and very soon will be shifting their focus on Hindi language.
It would be interesting to see whether the Google adds coming on these Hindi sites will be of English or Hindi Language. Since Hindi audience may not be able to understand English language and the CTR and eventually RPM of adsense may be low for Hindi Bloggers.
But let us not focus on the negative thought about this news and be happy for all the Hindi Blogger and hope that the internet may come up with some good Hindi content which could eventually raise the readers in India.
