With Teachers Day just around the corner, it has been announced that Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi will get involved with students of India in a live interaction session at New Delhi starting at 10:00 AM Indian Standard Time on Teachers Day eve. The interaction will continue for one hour and 15 minutes and end at 11:15 AM.
On the occasion, 800 students from different schools in New Delhi will be interacting directly with PM while they will also be accompanied with 60 teachers from those schools. Students outside New Delhi will also have a chance to interact with PM but only through video conferencing. However, only talented students from 9 different places in India will be given the opportunity to have video conference with PM Modi. This whole session of 1 hour and 15 minutes will be telecast live throughout the nation so that every student of the country can view it.
Commemorating and honoring India’s one of the greatest philosopher, teacher and educationist, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, PM Modi will be releasing a commemorative coin of denomination ₹ 125 . In addition to that a circulation coin of ₹ 10 will also be released by the PM on the eve of the birth anniversary of the great teacher of India.

Other dignitaries who will be present during the event will be:
- Smriti Irani – Human Resource Development Union Minister.
- Shri Upendra Kushwaha – State Minister for Human Resource Development (School Education & Literacy).
- Ram Shankar Katheria – State Minister for Human Resource Development of Higher Education.
- Shri Jayant Sinha – State Finance Minister.
The entire event will be telecast live of Doordarshan Network – DD India and DD National. Even radio broadcast will be done through All India Radio or AIR.
Governments of all States have been instructed to provide all schools with the necessary setup to ensure that students can view the live telecast of the event and follow the live interaction session. The center is expecting that schools in remote areas of the country will tune in to respective channels as possible so as allow their students to hear and view Prime Minister interacting with students.
