Cricket Champions Trophy 2017 Schedule, Time Table and Winners List
The famous Champions Trophy is only a year away from its commencement and with its date nearing, India is all set to begin its campaign against the arch rival, Pakistan. In 2013, when this popular tournament was held last, India clinched the title by first defeating Pakistan by 8 wickets and then beating England with 5 runs in the finals.
Indian Cricket Council announced on June 1, Wednesday that India is going to start its 2017 Champions Trophy campaign against Pakistan. The campaign will kick off at Edgbaston Cricket Ground, located in Birmingham, England.
The 18 days long tournament will witness its first match on June 1, 2017 and last on June 18, 2017. The first of all the exciting matchesto happen in the tournament will be held between the host team, England and the East Asian country, Bangladesh on June 1. Final will be held at the Oval, England on June 18, 2017.
Group A & Group B Teams
The final list of teams that made into the tournament was decided on the basis of One Day International rankings till 30th September, 2015. The top 8 teams which made into this One Day International Tournament are India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, South Africa, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Australia and England.
These 8 teams have been placed in two groups- Group A& Group B.

Cricket Champions Trophy 2017 Schedule
The tournament will begin with a face off between England and Bangladesh (from Group A) on June 1, 2017. Cricket buffs could watch the first seed Australia & fourth seed New Zealand fight for the Champions Trophy at a face off on June 2, 2017. On June 3, Sri Lanka & Australia will be pulled into a knock out match against each other.
Semi Finals will be held on June 14 and 15. Three days after that finale will take place,based on which one of the eight teams will go home triumphantly holding the glorious trophy of the tournament.
