Can you upgrade your computer to Windows 10 for free?
Who would not have to have the latest version of Windows on their computer? The latest version windows, i.e. Windows 10 is going to be released on 29th July 2015. A lot of people who are under the Windows Insider Program have already tested the new version and there have been mixed feedbacks about it.
One of the most prominent question and confusion at this point in time is that whether you would be able to upgrade the latest version to your computer or not. And if yes, then how would you do it and what would be the charges, if any.

There is a good news for those using either Windows 7 or Windows 8.1. These users would get a free upgrade license for the new version. However, if you are using Windows XP or Vista or a pirated version of windows, you would have to uninstall the existing one and buy and install the Windows 10 on your computer. The price for Windows 10 Home is going to be $11.99 and for License to Windows 10 Pro version is going to be $199.99.
There could be situations wherein you would like to try the new version of windows without affecting your existing one. In this case, you would have to join the Windows Insider Program and download the latest version on your machine and install the version as a Virtual Machine through the VirtualBox.
